FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: Could you give me a quote to appear at my function?

A: We are very competitively priced. Please give Pete a call to discuss on 07748 781049.

Q: Can we come to see the band before booking?

A: Certainly - please contact us to arrange. Please be aware that we don’t generally play in public places like pubs etc, however we may be able to arrange for you to come to one of our private functions or alternatively it is possible to see us in rehearsal in a studio near Colchester.

Q: Can you change which songs you play to cater for different audiences?

A: Yes we will judge that as we go by audience response. As we play such a range of material everyone should enjoy themselves.

Q: How long do the band play for?

A: Usually either two 90min sets or three 40min sets, we can adjust this to fit the occasion. Plus don't forget we can run a disco before, in between and after the bands sets.

Q: How would you structure the night in terms of when to have Band or Disco?

A: A typical arrangement might be Disco/Background music 8:00pm, 8:30 - 9:45 Bands 1st set, 9:45 - 10:30 Disco, and ending the night with the Bands 2nd set 10:30 - 12:00. As always any timings are flexible to fit in with your arrangements.

Q: Can you play requests?

A: We can learn new songs which you especially would like to hear, ideally we will need a few weeks notice to rehearse them. Obviously some songs will may not be practical, such as female diva ballads, but hey we like a challenge!. (Please don't ask for the Birdy Song or anything by Britney Spears! We do have some pride!!)

Q: How much space does the band need to set up in?

A: 20’ x 10’ should be adequate for the Band plus the Disco. If a marquee is involved, a flat surface is required (i.e. not on the same surface as the tables). Typically on a separate flat "stage" area, or if necessary, on part of the dance floor.

Q: Will it be possible to use your P.A and a microphone for announcements etc?

A: No problem, as soon as we are set up and sound checked (usually about 1hr) we are happy to let you use the P.A.

Q: Any other requirements?

A: Power sockets. A dressing area if possible, some food and drink would be gratefully received.
